Hi Guys!!!
Its been an awful long time without hearing anthing from anyone and from maintaining mself disconnected from the world outside Barcelona!
I am now in bed for the last 4 days! And I stil have at least 4 more to go... These are the instructions from the doctor that decided my belly should be a sieve instead of a normal belly. I am proud to announce that I now have 4 holes (apart from my belly button) in my belly. How great!
Anyway, better start from the begining: went to the doctor a year ago (before final year even started) and found out I had a cyst. He decided to watch out in case i grew more and as lucky as I am with this stuff it obviously grew. So two weeks ago he told me he would have to perform surgery on the cyst to remove it. So last tuesday I went to the hospital, was given wonderful sleeping drugs and through 3 small holes they removed the cyst. Now I must recover in bed for a week! Ouch! It is so extremely boring! Thankfully today it is not all that painful anymore so I may go out for tea tomorrow... The most exciting thing that I will have done in a whole week.
Apart from this all is well. PhD going ok, getting pretty interesting at the moment, and I am enjoying the work I am doing. People in the lab are sound enough, and Barcelona is just great. I was dying to be back here and now I am so enjoying every minute of it. I love it!
Guys, let me know how things are with you! I haven't heard much of Jakub at all, and Asia since the last email ages ago I know nothing... And Jeri, any news on when you will come back to Europe to see us? --- Don't think I'm mad (none of you) coz I am not... I am more to blame than all of you because of the lack of communication... I simply am terrible... (and so ashamed of it, but I have no cure!!! ))

Where are the visits from?
Hi guys!
This is a small blog where we can keep in contact if you wish while we all are away around the world... I mean Japan, England, Australia and Ireland... They are so far, and the time difference is so huge! It is difficult to chat in real time so I though we can keep each other updated through this system. Are you all up for it? I sure hope so...

Good to hear your Phd is going well and you are getting better anyway...although not so good to hear you are sick. So this is what it takes for you to use our blog...a few days in bed and you finally remeber that you have a blog!!! Although for full recovery I would recommend an extended stay in Japan...hehe.
I will put a blog up in the next few days hopefully and I have ordered internet...
PS: We all know you are mad (as mad as a bag of badgers)

No seriously It's really bad u got this fcking thing and I hope u get better really quick. And I can't wait to see the holes in ur belly! Did u told them that u r a biomedical eng. and u really want to see the whole surgery? Did u hav a partial anesthesia and was able to see the screens?
As 4 me as u probably know I came to... LONDON! everything is going well but I'm still kinda setting up with all this shit which u need to do on the very beginning. It's quite hard hire in london coz if u want to buy a fucking pair of volleyball shoes u need to go to city which is like 2h trip one way! From the other end that's what u get when u want to live ON ur University. I basically hav 3min walk from my house to work (ME LAZY ASS!). It's fantastic darling isn't it! (for the record that's how u say awesome in londonese).
Anyways happy ur PhD is going well. Hope u not working too hard with Abhay (although I know u r and he's probably sending u now emails saying what to read when u hav some 'free' time). Still don't really hav a clue what u actually doing. Well bcoz i'm a biomedical engineer and even hav a paper for that maybe u could try me and explain a bit? Since ur in bed and probably hav nothing else to do maybe a secret email from u will pleased my gmail inbox?
Well probably it's time for me to write something on the blog but I'm still waiting for the pics which the lazy ass who wrote sth above me (and probably gonna write sth below me as well) will send me. Truth is I'm looking for some1 to blame for not writing anything and since J is geographically closer and u had a surgery and would b quite harsh to blame u I'll blame Jeri simply coz it's all his foult.
psps I miss u and since I'm closer now maybe we can meet somewhere? Any conference in UK?

Yeah I might aswell put in the following coment...cause lets face it...all comments are by myself or Kuba. Yeah I was gonna email you the pics off my fone but iots gonna cost a few euro cause there are shit loads. And lets face it, our friendship is not worth the few euro HA. I will have internet next month so all will be forwarded then.
For more Japanese related news I have been toying with the idea of putting up a blog myself... Anyway the weather here is starting to get warmer and girl issues seem to be looking up WOOHOO!!!! :-)

Don't bother sending the pics via phone cos I'm w8ting for the movies as well! Especially the one from 'Tech city' (Arihabra?) so better hurry up and set up the internet at home.
Besides that u got the point about others using the blog.. I think rosa just pops up hire every few months writes one thing and things she has off for another month or two. Can tell u bout Asia as well... she is more clever. She checks it regularly but doesn't bother to write anything. Good thinking coz she knows what's going on with others but others don't know what's up with here. Well she is busy but so it's kind a excuse(now i'm trying to reduce the punishment which I probably gonna get for writhing this; see sleeping on the ground on fri).
Anyways good to hear that the gf issue is getting better now.. and yea hot weather = shorter skirts hehe. Always keeps u in the mood.
Ok time to come back to work.. WAIT! Don't do anything stupid Jakub! it's 4:45pm already! Might as well go home earlier...
